La mia città" (English: My city) is a song by Italian singer Emma Marrone. It was chosen by Italy's public broadcaster RAI to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. This represents one of the worst placements of the 40 occasions in which Italy has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest

La Mia Città (My City) is the title of the song that Emma will perform on behalf of Italy at the Final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest the next 10th of May in Copenhagen, Denmark. Marrone said about the song choice that she is very happy as the song is penned by herself. It is produced by Brando who said about La Mia Città 's sound to be inspired by 80s rock. In 2013 she released her third album Schiena, which was the 5th biggest selling album of the year and the top selling by a female artist. Besides Italy Emma is also popular in Switzerland. Even though she hasn't been chosen from the list of artists participating in the 2014 Sanremo Festival, coincidentally, Emma came second in Sanremo in 2011 in a collaboration with the band Modà and the song Arriverà.
